Judy Kranz

Judy Kranz started in NYC as a dancer and an actress. Her stage credits include many Off-Broadway shows, tours and summer stock. As a dancer she performed in a concert jazz dance company and at many clubs and shows.

Judy has a B.A. in dance and theater from Empire State College. She began teaching jazz dance for the great jazz dance innovator, Luigi, and has taught for him and at many schools over the country since 1980. She continues to teach jazz dance here in NYC at the Luigi Jazz Dance Center. She has also taught for twelve years in the summer program of Studio Maestro, which is now the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center. She teaches the young ballet hopefuls jazz dance, modern dance and pilates.

Judy became a certified pilates trainer at Power Pilates in 2004 and is now becoming a Teacher Trainer for Power Pilates. She believes wholeheartedly in the classical method created by Joseph Pilates for the simple reason that it works.
