Kim Mulvaney

Kimberly grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pa. With her passion for sports she started with 8 years of competitive gymnastics, to field hockey, and lacrosse and finally finding her niche in running. Kimberly competed for the University of Montana Cross Country and Track & Field. She received her BA in Communications Studies. After college she moved to Denver, Co in 2001. Due to her own injuries from running she began studying pilates. In 2003 she completed the Polestar Comprehensive Certification. During her 3 years in Denver she competed in many roads races including the Boulder Backroads Marathon and the Ft. Collins Old Town Marathon were she qualified for the Boston Marathon. In 2003, Kimberly moved to Atlanta, Ga and worked with a Physical Therapist incorporating pilates into their rehabilitation. She also worked with many professional athletes in the NFL, NHL, and MLB including Willie Anderson from the Cincinnati Bengals. In 2004, Kimberly moved back to her hometown of Philadelphia. She was instrumental in starting the Pilates Studio at University of Pennsylvania. She completed the Power Pilates Bridge Program in 2006 and became a Teacher Trainer for Power Pilates in 2007. She currently runs the Power Pilates Affiliate Training Center at the University of Pennsylvania.
