Remember when Star Jones Reynolds claimed that her miraculous weight loss came from Pilates and dieting?  Jones Reynolds had a whole camera crew at the Power Pilates NYC location and aired the clip on The View to show her fans her Pilates routine and secret to her weight loss success.  Insiders at Power Pilates obviously knew that she was not a true devotee to the method as she barely came for workouts.   Its was quite evident that this was clearly not the way she lost weight. Well, after four yeras she is finally admitting the truth.  Not that this comes as a major shock to anyone!  In a way I am glad  that she demonstrated how Pilates can be helpful during a weight loss program.  Of course, however, I think it is shameful that she lied about the truth and tied Power Pilates into her story.

The confession from Jones Reynolds will be featured in the September issue of Glamour magazine which hits newstands in August.  Apparently her gastric bypass surgery was in 2003 and the sole reason for her dropping all those pounds.  USA Today qoutes Jones Reynolds as saying "I was intentionally evasive.  Lying was never an option for me, so I called it a 'medical intervention,' which was true, but it was really a pathetic attempt to tell only the truth I could handle at the time."

Better late than never to get the truth, but another sad example of how Hollywood celebrities falsely present to the public that simply diet and exercise can allow you to shed massive amounts of weight overnight.  Drastic medical intervention is the only way that people lose massive weight in a short period of time.  Remember, it is realistic to expect 1-2 pounds of weight loss per week when following a good lifestyle change of healthy eating and exercise.
