Earlier this year we had to worry about peanut butter containing salmonella. Now there is a new product being recalled from the market. Although I neve quite understood the addiction to Pirate's Booty puffed snacks, millions of Americans love this product. Thankfully the entire product is line is being recalled, just the Veggie Booty Snack Food.

Apparently there have already been 52 cases reported that link this product to salmonella poisoning. Yucky symptoms like fever and bloody diarrhea have brought people to their doctor's offices. Unfortunately, most of the cases have been reported in chidlren. The FDA is recommending that you should promptly discard of this product whether you have been sick or not. If you have symptoms that start within four days of consuming this food, contact your doctor immediately! The product is made by Robert's American Gourmet. The company's website issues concern for their customers and they assure the public that they have stopped production and distribution of the product until they can determine the salmonella source.
