I am a big fan of acupuncture and hope to someday be able to study this fascinating form of healing.  I came across some easy reflexology/acupressure points in Health Magazine that I wanted to pass along.  These stress relieving points can be found in the feet, earlobes and hands.  Even if you can't remember these points, a full body massage can always help to lower heart rate and stress hormones like cortisol according to Tiffany Field, PhD, director of the Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Here are the details thanks to Maureen Moon, past president of the American Massage Therapy Association.

Feet: Do you have any lower back pain?  Press with your thumb where the heel meets the arch of the foot.  Hold the spot for 1 minute.  This spot marks the end of the sciatic nerve and can help relax both back and leg pain.

Earlobes: The ear has an amazing 126 acupressure points and pressing on the lobes activates many of these points and promotes the release of anxiety-reducing endorphins.  Starting at mid-ear, pull gently with your thumb and index finger along the edge of the lobe and work your way to the bottom.

Hands: If you have a stress headache or feel one coming on, squeeze the groove between your thumb and index finger for 1 minute.  Press the spot with the thumb and index finger of the other hand.  Be sure to press the spot on both hands!
