Many clients come to me asking basic weight loss tips.  As the conversation continues, it inevitably leads to a discussion of how they just cannot stop eating the whole bag of chips, cookies, gallon of ice cream, etc.  It sounds too easy, but the easiest way to avoid these problems in the first place is to leave your temptations at the store!  So many people are a victim to their own purchases.  We all think we will have the self control to eat only one cookie this time or just one serving of chips….WRONG!!  When teased with a temptation, your pantry or refrigerator door is just not enough to keep most of us away.  This is not to say that you can never enjoy these items again, just make yourself go out to buy what you need.  You may decide that it is not even worth the effort to go out for ice cream and eat something healthier at home instead.  Believe me, you will be surprised how well this works.  Everyone has their “trigger” foods.  Make sure you are aware of your triggers and keep them out of your grocery cart.  Tune in later this week when I walk you through how to make changes in your refrigerator!
