How to Maintain and Renew Your Power Pilates Assessment-Based Certificate

Your Power Pilates Assessment-Based Certificate (ABC) expires every two (2) years. To maintain and renew your ABC, you are required to complete a certain number of Power Pilates Continuing Education Courses before the ABC expires.  Participants must maintain only their highest level ABC.

Credits Required to Renew:

Attending live Power Pilates workshops is required for renewal.  However, individuals have the option of satisfying one-third (1/3) of their requirements by purchasing downloadable workshops and DVD's available in our online store.  In certain cases, participants may also complete up to 1/3 of their requirements via CEC’s from non-Power Pilates workshops (2 for Mat Programs, 3 for System 1-2, 5 for System 3 or Comprehensive Programs).  To earn CEC’s from other organizations’ programs, you must obtain prior course approval.  Credit approval is not guaranteed.

Please plan ahead and spread your credits out over the two year renewal period so that you are able to attend the required in-person Power Pilates workshops.  Your true education begins once you complete a Power Pilates Teacher Training. As a Pilates instructor, you must continue to learn and refine your teaching skills to inspire yourself and others.

Renewal Application Checklist

Please submit your renewal application online here: http://www.powerpilates.com/renew-certificate-online.html.  You will be asked to provide the following information:

• Your name
• Current mailing address
• Current email address
• Current contact number
• A list of programs with dates and locations of attendance
• Copy of the highest level Power Pilates ABC to be renewed
• Copies of certificate of completion for each continuing education workshop attended for applicable hours
• $50 processing fee: application received prior to certificate expiration date
• $100 processing fee: application received up to 6 months after expiration date
• $250 processing fee: application received more than 6 months after expiration date (applicant may be asked to retake the course if certificate expired more than a year ago)

Course Approval Application for Non-Power Pilates Courses

Please note that if you are seeking course approval for non-Power Pilates courses, course approval requests are to be sent prior to taking the course and 3 months prior to ABC expiration. Course approval requests will be processed within 2 weeks of receipt of request. Course approvals must be submitted via email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
