System Training

The Power Pilates System Training: Levels 1, 2, & 3 is the Comprehensive program divided into three (3) sequential System programs. This self-study course is for those individuals that require a flexible schedule and do not have the time to devote to the requisite 600 Apprentice Hours of the Comprehensive program.

Each self-study program (System Levels 1-3) will allow you to fully understand and teach classical style Pilates sessions on the Pilates Apparatus: Mat, Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Small Barrels and Magic Circle – in three stages. The three stages are: Level 1 - Beginner/Intermediate; Level 2 – Intermediate; Level 3 – Advanced. In lieu of Apprentice Hours you will complete 10-25 self-study practice hours each week on your own. You can practice on the Apparatus at the studio where you are training (during limited times) or you can practice on your own if you have access to Apparatus at another space.

Self-Study

You will learn the exercises and teaching tools, complete practice drills and have hands-on experience during the Weekend Intensives. Between Intensives, you will practice independently by following the homework guidelines that are included in your manual. You will be required to complete 150 hours (approximately 10-25 hours per week) of self-study practice during Level 1, 100 hours of self-study practice during Levels 2, and 50 hours of self-study practice during Level 3. You are responsible for finding “bodies” to practice on as well as Apparatus to use. Each studio has a different policy regarding practice hours and use of Apparatus. You will use The System Training DVDs as reference.
