| Tower Progressions w/ Stephanie West
The focus of this workshop will be on the Tower Class format and progressions, so that all of your classes are safe, effective, and fun! Together we will learn/play with creative ways to organize your progressions while maintaining the flow of the workout. We will cover all levels; Introductions to Advanced progressions. Come with questions and be prepared to move.

| Special Cases: Mat Class w/ Jordana Herman
Nobody's perfect, right? Right! This class will cover the beginner/intermediate mat exercises with safe and effective strategies and modifications for clients with special needs. We will review specific modifications for low back pain, knee injuries, shoulder pain, neck issues, osteoporosis and pregnancy. Come ready to work out and leave with new tools for your Power Pilates toolkit! Prerequisites: Instructors with beginner-intermediate Mat teaching experience.

| Real Men Do Pilates w/ Daniel Gaouette
This workshop will help instructors work more effectively with a growing client base, male clients. Common patterns of muscular imbalance and weakness among men will be addressed, as well as specific ways to improve them. You will also learn techniques that will assist men in integrating key concepts of strength, stability, stretch and stamina into a well-balanced and challenging workout. Prerequisites: Open to instructors and clients with mat and apparatus experience. |

Learn how to integrate these useful props into your mat class or create a Pilates on the Ball class. See how the use of various ball props can literally help place the beginner/intermediate student's center of gravity in their core, while challenging the advanced student with additional resources. | Anatomy of the Lumbar Spine and Pelvis w/ Stephanie West
During this workshop we will delve into the primary powerhouse. We will discuss the anatomy and kinesiology of the pelvis and the lower back, common conditions related to these bones and the muscles attached to them and how Pilates can help re-align and therefore rid our students of compensatory issues. | Art of Touch and Spotting w/ Jordana Herman
This workshop will be taught in two parts. First, we will take a look at the classical exercises and we will practice touch which is "hands on"; how energy is transferred when touching someone, and why present time consciousness is key. Second, we will explore spotting which is "eyes on," where and how to place yourself in the room and in relation to the client when utilizing touch. Then, we will put it all together and discover how oppositional touch, coupled with appropriate placement in the room, will deepen your skills as a teacher. Prerequisites: Mat and/or apparatus teaching experience. |

| How To Teach a Client with Osteoporosis w/ Jordana Herman
Teaching a client who has Osteoporosis presents so many challenges. What can they do? What shouldn't they do? Which exercises are supportive and which exercises should be avoided? In this workshop you will learn how to create and develop a simple workout that makes sense and can evolve as the client builds strength and skills. We will discuss what osteoporosis is and what movements are contraindicated so you can safely teach and advance your clients. The exercises taught in this workshop can easily be adopted for special case clients who need a modified workout or for healthy elderly clients. Prerequisites: Open to instructors and clients with intermediate apparatus experience. |

| Pilates for Athletes w/ Daniel Gaouette
This workshop will look at how to integrate specific Pilates exercise - using the Reformer, Spine Corrector, Wunda Chair, and some small apparatus - to benefit athletes. We will address preventing common injuries (and what those injuries are), important muscle groups, and Pilates benefits for specific athletes and sports. Prerequisites: Open to all clients and instructors. |

| How Joe Taught It: Teachings and Reflections from the Original Studio w/ Mary Bowen
Join Pilates Elder Mary Bowen for an inside look at the real Joseph Pilates - how he taught, what he saw, and what he didn't see. The years of patient repetition from Joe, Clara and later Hannah created Contrology. His method and knowledge of the body came from how he experienced things in his own body. In this workshop we will discuss the beginning of the journey, and the responsibility of every Plates instructor and practitioner who has comes after him. We will reflect on Pilates and how it has evolved for the better, asking you, to look deeper into the past and most of all, to look AHEAD!
