12-Day Intensive

The 12-Day Intensive is ideal for Pilates Instructors and Pilates students who have a strong classical Pilates background and are at an Intermediate/Advanced level. You must be familiar with the apparatus (Reformer, Chairs, Cadillac and Barrels) as well as the sequence of the exercises. This program includes the same manual and lectures from the Comprehensive program, but is taught in a 12-day format. Apprentice hours begin after the 12-Day intensive has been completed. Once you pass and complete all aspects of the program, you will receive your Power Pilates Instructor Certification.

Course Objectives

  • Review anatomy from a Pilates perspective.
  • Learn the exercises and principles behind the Power Pilates approach (Classical - Systematic - Integrative).
  • Refine the communication skills necessary to teach Pilates effectively.
  • Learn to apply the Power Pilates unique and easy-to-follow formula for success.
  • Learn 60-minute class formats for all level clients. This includes modifications, variations, and special cases.
  • Learn to teach the method in a way that integrates the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Ped-O-Pull and Magic Circle to yield unparalleled results.

Course Requirements

  • Complete 500-600 apprenticeship hours at the Training Center where you took your 12-Day course. Power Pilates will decide the amount of required Apprentice hours necessary for each person. It will depend upon your teaching level and experience. The Apprentice hours begin once the 12-day intensive has been completed.
  • Complete STUDENT CONTRACT and REGISTRATION form.

Explain why you chose the exercises you did. 3. Perform the movement with minimal prompting.
  • 50 hours documented training. Include this information with your application.
  • Attend Power Pilates Beginner Mat certification. (Beginning Mat dates.)
