![]() Beginner and Intermediate Mat Certification(All mat work, no apparatus.)The beginner and intermediate level mat certifications are each 16-hour programs. You do not need apparatus to teach a Pilates mat class. Once you complete and pass each weekend certification, you will be certified to teach a beginner and/or intermediate level mat class. Beginner MatThe beginner mat certification is the foundation of all our other programs. Every program builds upon the information learned during this course. You will learn 18 beginner level mat exercises and be introduced to Power Pilates Teaching Tools, which is, essentially, learning how to teach. This includes philosophy, teaching formula, and style.Intermediate MatDuring the intermediate mat weekend you will learn 12 intermediate level mat exercises and how to incorporate them into the beginner-level sequence. You will continue to develop your teaching skills so that you will become an excellent and confident instructor. Our students claim that "everything starts to click" during the intermediate mat weekend. Once you complete this weekend, you will have the ability to work with people of all ages and different fitness levels at the same time.Advanced Mat - MASTER THE ART OF PILATESThe seeds of Power Pilates Master's Program are being set in the form of our Advanced Mat certification being debuted August 1 and 2 in NYC and presented by Co-Owner/Co-Program Developer, Susan Moran-Perich. All essential components of the Power Pilates teaching tools and formula will be enriched as well as the mastery of the advanced exercises. As always, the exercises are the major component of our formula, but it is the mastery of the teaching formula that will deepen this work. Come and experience the Advanced Mat program and learn how to incorporate it safely and effectively into your client's repertoire. This course is a pre-requisite to our Master's Program, which will launch in Dallas March 2009. Pre-Requisite: Power Pilates Intermediate Mat CertificationCourse Objectives
