Agata was born and raised in Gdansk, Poland, and moved to NYC to pursue her education in Art History. While expecting her first child, she swerved from the path of an academic career, and ultimately decided to re-invent herself. Pilates proved a natural next step. Since being first introduced to the method in 2005, she fell in love with it. She continued her recreational practice, on and off, then inspired by the lack of satisfying Mommy and Baby classes in her area, decided to pursue a career as a Pilates instructor herself. As a new mom, she wanted to be part of an optimistic, family-friendly, healing, and happy environment, as well as carry her newfound passion over to others. Agata became Mat Certified Instructor in 2012, and has taken many specialized workshops and classes to further her knowledge of the pilates method. She successfully completed Apprenticeship Program in the Fall of 2020. Agata especially enjoys working with expecting and new moms, active older clients as well as men! She is a firm believer that pilates should be part of the college curriculum. Pilates is for every-body and she thrives in sharing her passion for healing through movement with her clients! When she is not teaching at Power Pilates, or her own business you can catch her enjoying nature and hiking through Connecticut parks, where she recently moved to raise her family.
