Sowmiya's entry into fitness began as a teen dabbling in badminton. Then she enjoyed swimming while pursuing her Masters' degree in Biological Sciences. Following that started practicing yoga alongside running while on a break from work. Upon suggestion of her teacher got certified in yoga. Eager and curious to know more about the way body moves, she went ahead and got certified in Mat Pilates from Power Pilates and then went on to certify as a personal trainer. She is also a pre/post-natal yoga instructor. She is always eager to apply the right movement principles to make the body stronger, pliable and more balanced.
