The Spine Corrector is that often-forgotten and hardly-ever-used piece of apparatus that spends most of its days sitting on the floor under the Cadillac. This mat-based workout takes the classical Spine Corrector exercises you know and love, and adds more creative exercises borrowing from the Reformer. | How To Teach a Client with Osteoporosis w/ Anmarie Touloumis
Teaching a client who has Osteoporosis presents so many challenges. What can they do? What shouldn't they do? Which exercises are supportive and which exercises should be avoided? In this workshop you will learn how to create and develop a simple workout that makes sense and can evolve as the client builds strength and skills. We will discuss what osteoporosis is and what movements are contraindicated so you can safely teach and advance your clients. The exercises taught in this workshop can easily be adopted for special case clients who need a modified workout or for healthy elderly clients. Prerequisites: Open to instructors and clients with intermediate apparatus experience. |

This workshop will focus on reviewing the Intermediate Mat exercises and variations. Learn how to challenge an intermediate student by utilizing intermediate and some advanced level exercises. This workshop will be helpful for those teaching mat as well as apparatus sessions. Be prepared to move and practice! Prerequisites: Instructors and clients with intermediate mat experience. |
