| Beginner Tower System w/ Daniel Gaouette
We will review both beginner mat and wall unit exercises appropriate for a beginner level tower class. You will learn how to organize a beginner level tower class as well as how to make it fun, challenging and safe for all participants. You will experience a beginner level tower class, receive handouts to guide your clients and leave prepared to teach. Prerequisites: Apparatus teaching experience. |

| Mat with Theraband w/ Jordana Herman
Learn how to incorporate this multi-faceted and useful tool, the Theraband into a mat class; for a fun and challenging workout! This course offers many different ways to use the Theraband during a classical Intermediate/Advanced Mat class. We will go over multiple ways to use the band for each exercise: we will show you how to apply the Theraband to give support and to create awareness, we will demonstrate how to use the band as a tool to challenge by adding resistance to the mat class, and finally we will give you some tips on how to take some exercises to another level. Prerequisites: Open to all instructors and clients. |

| Pilates 101: Working with Brand New Clients w/ Cheryl Turnquist
Get those brand new clients off the ground and running! This workshop talks about many topics pertaining to those new clients. Those "how to handle" moments ranging from a newcomer that says they have prior experience, an open level mat class with a brand new person with some physical issues, benefits to a Beginner Mat versus an Open Mat and many more. | Pilates for Seniors w/ Daniel Gaouette
This workshop is geared to help you teach elderly clientele how to utilize the classical Pilates method effectively. As Joseph used to say, "You are only as old as your spine is flexible." We will discuss some common injuries, weaknesses, and limitations of our older clientele, and learn how to challenge and advance them while playing it safe and still having fun. Prerequisites: Open to all instructors and clients. |

| Working with Pregnant Clients w/ Cheryl Turnquist
This workshop addresses the anatomical changes that occur during pregnancy. These changes necessitate a restructuring of the Power Pilates workout; including both mat and apparatus work. Following a brief overview of the physiological effects on the body, the class format is a sequential workout that is appropriate and safe, yet still interesting and challenging for the pregnant client. You will learn the necessary tools to work with this population. An important aspect of this workshop is cueing. Prerequisites: Open to all clients and instructors. |

| The Extras and Often Overlooked w/ Stephanie West
Joseph Pilates created his equipment in an attempt to help open, align and challenge the body. As familiar as we are are with the mat, Reformer and Cadillac; we often underutilize or even forget about his smaller creations. During this workshop you will learn how to use the Foot Corrector, Toe Corrector, Magic Square, Bean Bag, Breath-a-Cizer, Pedi-Pole as well as the Jumpboard created by NASA. Prerequisites: Mat and Apparatus certification of Intermediate Level and beyond. |

| How To Teach a Client with Osteoporosis w/ Jordana Herman
Teaching a client who has Osteoporosis presents so many challenges. What can they do? What shouldn't they do? Which exercises are supportive and which exercises should be avoided? In this workshop you will learn how to create and develop a simple workout that makes sense and can evolve as the client builds strength and skills. We will discuss what osteoporosis is and what movements are contraindicated so you can safely teach and advance your clients. The exercises taught in this workshop can easily be adopted for special case clients who need a modified workout or for healthy elderly clients. Prerequisites: Open to instructors and clients with intermediate apparatus experience. |

| Mat Modifications w/ Jordana Herman
How do we know when to modify an exercise? When the purpose of the exercise is not being achieved, how can we as instructors, use our Present Time Consciousness to make decisions about what version of the exercise is best for the client? In this workshop, we will review modifications at the beginner level as well as some extra creative modifications for your beginner mat classes!

| Special Cases: Lower Back Issues w/ Stephanie West
Special cases, injuries, extreme imbalances: this is the next level of understanding injuries or special needs and how to work with them. We'll explore the importance of the Beginner System and of understanding the primary powerhouse first, then how to adapt these concepts when special cases present themselves. We will focus on lower back issues.
