This workshop will be taught in two parts. First, we will take a look at the classical exercises and we will practice touch which is "hands on"; how energy is transferred when touching someone, and why present time consciousness is key. Second, we will explore spotting which is "eyes on," where and how to place yourself in the room and in relation to the client when utilizing touch. Then, we will put it all together and discover how oppositional touch, coupled with appropriate placement in the room, will deepen your skills as a teacher.

Joesph Pilates created his equipment in an attempt to help open, align and challenge the body. As familiar as we are are with the mat, Reformer and Cadillac; we often underutilize or even forget about his smaller creations. During this workshop you will learn how to use the foot Corrector, Toe Corrector, Magic Square, Bean Bag, Breath-a-Cizer, Ped-O-Pul as well as the Jumpboard created by NASA.
