Session Types

Joseph Pilates based his “Apparatus” training on the individual client needs and the personal connection that comes from working “your unique body” with a Private Session with an experienced instructor. Combining springs and straps and unfamiliar body movements on unusual “Apparatus” can be an intimidating (though ultimately rewarding) experience that will transform your body from the inside out.

Many of the movements are initially complex and the equipment requires Private instruction to master. At Power Pilates we recommend at least 5 Private sessions on the Apparatus before moving to a Semi-Private group class. With the best trained instructors in the world – you are guaranteed to reach you individual goals and discover a new you!

Our Mat Class training is a group class but is as challenging as any Apparatus workout. Rather than springs and straps for resistance – you will use your body weight for resistance. If you find a Mat class “too hard” – we will help you discover the flexibility you need for achievement. If you find a Mat class “too easy” – we will push you to challenge yourself with the exercises harder to find a deeper connection in your body you never knew you had.

The Tower Class is a wall unit Apparatus in a group setting that incorporates the same Mat exercises while using the Tower Apparatus to enhance your Pilates experience.

Apparatus Training (Private or Semi-Private)

Apparatus Training sessions are a series of exercises and movements using resistance based Apparatus providing for a deeper workout! These individual or Semi-Private training sessions provide a challenging workout with emphasis on individual needs and goals.

Apparatus include the Reformer, Cadillac, Chairs, Barrel, Ped-O-Pull and Magic Circle

Cardio & Pilates Classes(Group

One Shot Mat Class
A Pilates Mat Class with a cardio workout. Interval combinations, alternating 10 minutes on the mat and 10 minutes with the ropeless jump rope, calorie counter JUMP-SNAP! The ultimate in toning and reducing inches!

Better Body Bootcamp
A combination of resistance and strength training, weights, kickboxing, self defense, awesome abs, and stretching, this high energy and total impact workout will sculpt, tone, and tighten while building stamina and endurance. Be prepared to lose weight and inches. Wear your Better Body year round and get ready to take it off!

You don’t have to get wet in the Hudson to gain all the cardio and strength training of team rowing. Using water based rowing machines in a team-setting, you will pull together for a challenging, exhilarating and transformative total body workout! Get ready to row!

Mat Class Training (Group)

Mat Class Training sessions are open Mat classes tailored to provide a challenging workroutfocused on core musculature and increased flexibility in an inspiring and fun group setting. You’ll feel the energy propel you toward a great workout in this class.

Tower Training (Group)

Tower Training sessions use a combination of the Wall Apparatus (Tower Unit) along with Mat work in a smaller group setting. By utilizing the Wall Apparatus you will stretch your muscles while strengthening your core – be prepared for a challenging and rewarding workout!
