What are the Renewal Requirements?
Your Power Pilates Assessment-Based Certificate (ABC) expires every two years. To maintain and renew your ABC, you are required to complete a certain number of Power Pilates Continuing Education Courses before the ABC expires. You can complete your CEC's at Power Pilates Conferences and through our online offerings. Your true education begins once you complete a Power Pilates Teacher Training. As a Pilates instructor, you must continue to learn and refine your teaching skills to inspire yourself and others. Renew by the number of credits of your highest level:
6 CECs - Core Mat I or II
8 CECs - Advanced Mat
12 CECs - System I or II
15 CECs - Comprehensive, Bridge, or System III
How Do I Earn the Required Credits?
You can earn your required credits through workshops at Power Pilates conferences (find a workshop in the upcoming conferences section
or online at www.leadersinfitness.com/powerpilates
. Our online workshops are offered via the Leaders in Fitness platform and include a streaming video (which you can watch as many times as you would like by logging in to your online account, a PDF handout, an exam, and a certificate of completion to download upon completing the exam. When choosing videos on Leaders in Fitness, always check the number of Power Pilates CECs offered by choosing "VIEW CEUs". If no Power Pilates CECs are listed, no credits are available for that course.
In addition, Power Pilates teachers can audit any Core Mat I, Core Mat II or Apparatus program they have passed previously for CE credit. Auditing a program enables teachers to participate in the program without being evaluated or being required to do all the assignments. Auditors do not receive a final pass/fail designation.

Can I Use Non-Power Pilates Credits?

To petition for course approval for non-Power Pilates coursework, submit this form
. Power Pilates will inform you if your coursework is approved within 2 weeks of submission. All decisions are final so please submit all relevant information with your petition.
Non-Power Pilates courses are approved at a maximum of .5 CEC per credit hour (when approved - not all are). To maintain the quality of our instructors worldwide, no more than 1/3 of your CEC's in a given renewal period may come from non-Power Pilates trainings. The remainder of your credits must come from Power Pilates coursework.
