Cathy (Barker) Strack is a Pilates teacher, writer, and historian. She was initially certified in 2001 and bridged through Power Pilates in 2017. During her career in Pilates, Cathy has taken workshops with teachers associated with the Classical Pilates Method, including one fantastic weekend with Romana Kryzanowska in Arlington, Texas. Early on, Cathy realized that there was very little biographical information about Joseph H. Pilates, and even less information about those entrusted to carry on his teaching. After gathering some initial information, Cathy felt compelled to tell the story of Romana Kryzanowska in her debut book, Love All Around The Romana Kryzanowska Biography. She has since published Get To Know Joe Pilates, a biography detailing his life story. Exploring and describing their lives comes naturally as Cathy's first career was in the field of psychology; she holds an M.S. in Clinical Psychology. She currently works as a Pilates teacher at BodyMind Balance in Cincinnati, Ohio.
