The Mat Academy program provides and engaging and interactive method of learning our essential Core Mat 1, Core Mat 2, and Core Mat 3 courses. Each subsequent program builds upon the information learned during the previous course. During the Core Mat I course you will learn to teach the 18 beginner level mat exercises and be introduced to Power Pilates teaching tools, philosophy, and teaching formula. Every student new to Power Pilates must start with Core Mat I.

The Core Mat I Syllabus focuses on teaching you how to teach the beginner exercises. The e-learning system will first ensure that you know each exercises, and then will focus on providing you the knowledge and tools needed to teach them properly.

You may choose to have your final practical examination conducted with a proctor in-person if there is a studio partner near you, or by live video conference.

During the Core Mat II course, you will learn the intermediate level exercises, including where to add them within the sequence of the beginner level mat class, and continue to work on your teaching skills. Our students say that "everything starts to click" during the intermediate mat program. Completing Core Mat II expands the range of clients you can work with and strengthens your teaching ability.

All essential components of the Power Pilates teaching tools and formula will be enriched and advanced exercises will be mastered during the Core Mat III training. Students will learn how to incorporate the advanced exercises safely and effectively into their client's repertoire. Graduates will know how to teach a 60-minute advanced level Mat class (including modifications and variations for advancement).

In addition to helpful document downloads, video and animated lessons, quizzes and workouts, you may register for up to 10 teaching practice sessions, conducted via live video conference with a Teacher Trainer.

After the modules and coaching sessions have been completed, you will complete your practical exam with your Teacher Trainer and virtual coaching group.
