About This Course
The Reformer 1 Certification is an 18-module combined mat and Reformer teacher certification-— the online delivery of the same curriculum taught in the Power Pilates Reformer Intensive 1 in-person program. The lineage is the same. The Classical standard is the same. The credential is the same.
The program covers the full beginner Classical Reformer repertoire alongside the mat exercises that form its foundation, taught in the Power Pilates pedagogical sequence across both technique and practice teaching modules. Certification students may attend weekly live study hall sessions with Teacher Trainers via video conference - the closest online equivalent to the guided learning that happens in the room during an in-person intensive.
Before you sit your final video conference or in-person exam, you'll complete 20 hours of structured practice at one of our partner studios. It's hands-on time with the apparatus that no video course can replace - and it's what makes this certificate mean something when you walk into a studio as a teacher.
If you already hold a Power Pilates Core Mat I certification, the mat block auto-completes at enrollment - no repeating what you already know - but you will have always have review access. Your studio practice is also adjusted to give you more time on the Reformer, and your enrollment price reflects your prior training.
