Cheryl Turnquist
Cheryl is the owner of Providence Pilates Center. After studying and teaching Pilates since 1999, Cheryl now operates three studios in Rhode Island and is a Master Teacher Trainer for the Power Pilates method.She teaches all levels of certification to aspiring teachers from all over the world, and serves as the Curriculum Committee Chair for Power Pilates.
Cheryl has continued to further her education through the Vertical Workshop Master's program with Shari Berkowitz, the Red Thread with Kathi Ross-Nash, the Classical Syllabus with MeJo Wiggin (twice) and the Contrology Master's Program with Inelia Garcia of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She has attended numerous conferences, classes and continuing education courses including Pilates for Golf, working with special populations/ injuries, Pink Ribbon Pilates, and more. She has also been certified and taught Barre, Spinning, TRX, group fitness aerobics and Step.
Cheryl holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston College. She has found that her background as a therapist has been invaluable to owning Providence Pilates and developing instructors that focus on health and wellness from a mind/body perspective. When not in the studio she is most happy at home hanging out wiht her family and her five cats.

Student Cancellations and Transfers: We understand that sometimes plans change. Refunds are not available for any Power Pilates programs. However, you can transfer to another program or hold a credit on file to use in the future if you are unable to attend your registered program and notify us before the first day of classes. An additional $150 change fee applies to all program changes, transfers, and cancellations, due when the new program is chosen.
Postponements by Power Pilates: Power Pilates reserves the right to postpone or reschedule any program or course at any time in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as war, riots, fire, flood, snowstorm, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake, lightning, explosion, financial limitations, strikes, lockouts, sickness, and acts of state or governmental action prohibiting or impeding Power Pilates from performing its respective obligations. Refunds are not available for any Power Pilates programs. Students will be notified and have the option of attending the alternate date, holding a credit on file, or enrolling in the same level of the Online Academy.
